TCIL provides its state of the art OPGW Services on crucial High Voltage Power Line network (66 KV, 132 KV , 440 KV and 765 KV) under offline or live line conditions based network for Transmission lines owned by various central and state government utilities with real time installation and commissioning activities through turnkey and consultancy services with concept to completion for existing and establishment of new OPGW network which acts as a backbone of Power sector communication network.

TCIL is now providing its OPGW services to various client such as PGCIL , Jammu Kashmir Power Development Department, North Eastern state utilities, Andhra Pradesh etc . TCIL has a wide experience of installation of more than 7000 KMS of OPGW Network across the country which is still an ongoing process.

OPGW Project (J&K)
  • Establishment of OPGW Network consists of 84 Lines in Jammu and Kashmir Region.
  • The project is subdivided in two Packages Jammu (Pkg-I) & Kashmir (Pkg-II) on 220kV & 132kV transmission lines of Power Development Department of Jammu & Kashmir (J&K PDD) associated with consultancy assignment under Prime Minister Reconstruction Program(PMRP)
  • Providing high end conectivity to Remote locations in Jammu and Kashmir
  • JKPDD is planning for release of capacity, spare/dark fibre networks due to High fiber count.
  • Can be operated using the latest optical protocols on wavelength division multiplexing to add capacity where needed, and to provide an upgrade path between technologies without removing the network from service.
  • Enables the network administration & performance to be continuous, smooth and seamless of the fibre optic and Transmission Lines network of JKPDD(Jammu and Kashmir Power Development Department).
OPGW Project (North East Region)
  • Establishment of OPGW Network consists of 45 Lines in North East Region.
  • The project is subdivided in two Packages A of 489 Kms & Package C of 733 Kms on 220kV , 132kV and 440 KV transmission lines of Power grid corporation of India Limited
  • Providing high end connectivity to Remote locations in North East Region and Subsidiaries link of Bhutan Myanmar and other Eastern countries.
  • Release of capacity, spare/dark fibre networks due to High fiber count.
  • Can be operated using the latest optical protocols on wavelength division multiplexing to add capacity where needed, and to provide an upgrade path between technologies without removing the network from service.
  • Enables the network administration & performance to be continuous, smooth and seamless of the fibre optic and Transmission Lines network of PGCIL.
